| | How is it already season 7 of American Idol? I only caught one episode of the auditions this year, and tonight I'm watching the first day of the top 24. Many sound decent, but it's hard to tell from just this one performance. Are their pitch problems just from nerves for the first live show or is it a constant problem? They make Simon out to be such a meanie so that I'm surprised when he shows a genuine looking smile when someone cracks a joke. But i hate it when he doesn't laugh at jokes and when he's in a bad mood and says illogical things.
Miscellaneous comments: I liked the first few notes of David #1, liked David #2's rock rendition only because it was really different from the original version, Jason #1 had a sort of different voice, David is a baby but did really well, Danny has some personality, Jason #2 played his own guitar!, I like Michael's accent, but the singing was okay.
